Through Château de Minière and Château de Suronde, Kathleen Van den Berghe embodies the spirit of the Loire.

Since 2010, she has lovingly tended to Château de Minière, its 19,5 hectares of Cabernet Franc and its renowned tuffeau stone. In 2016, she acquired Château de Suronde, a lush natural haven at the heart of the only Grand Cru in the Loire Valley. She brings a vision of the profession that is both complex and holistic. Now a Master of Wine, for Kathleen, wine is meant to be shared—it should tell its story. With intricate dry whites and vibrant reds, she honors beauty with respect and passion.

Minière and Suronde are also poised to become must‑visit stops in Loire Valley wine tourism—responsible and engaged, much like their creator.
